Role Overview
We are seeking a part-time Paraplanner to join our growing team. This role will support the advisory team by preparing client deliverables, conducting research, and ensuring a high level of accuracy in financial planning work.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping clients succeed. Tax experience or an Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a significant plus, as our firm integrates tax planning into our wealth management process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist advisory team in developing comprehensive financial plans for business-owner clients.
- Gather, organize, and analyze financial data (investments, insurance, retirement, estate, and tax information).
- Prepare plan projections, retirement scenarios, and portfolio summaries.
- Support tax planning and tax preparation workflows as needed, especially during peak seasons.
- Research investment options, insurance policies, and financial strategies to support advisor recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files in accordance with compliance standards.
- Create professional, client-ready reports and presentation materials.
- Collaborate with advisors and administrative staff to ensure smooth client experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (preferred)
- 1-3 years of financial planning, paraplanning, or tax experience.
- Familiarity with financial planning software (RightCapital, Holistiplan, eMoney, or similar).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
- Experience utilizing CRMs (Wealthbox, Redtail, Salesforce, etc).
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Tax preparation experience and/or EA designation highly preferred.
- Working toward or interested in pursuing CFP® designation a plus.
Role Details
- Position: Part-Time, flexible hours, approximately 15-25 hrs per week
- Location: Historic Marietta, remote or hybrid role available for the right candidate
